1. Ownership & Image Rights

Users retain all ownership rights to the original photos uploaded to PixelPassport. By using the service, you grant PixelPassport a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display your images solely for the purpose of generating your personal travel map.

Non-Destructive Metadata: PixelPassport stores your original files and applies non-destructive metadata (scaling and positioning) to render your map.

2. Usage Limits & Subscription

Free Tier: Limited to ten (10) geographic regions (countries, states, or provinces). Users may swap images within these 10 slots freely.

Premium Unlock: A flat fee unlocks unlimited regions. Fees are non-refundable.

Pricing: We reserve the right to adjust fees for subscriptions or physical goods at any time, including the use of temporary promotional discounts.

3. Physical Prints & Quality Disclaimer

User Responsibility: The quality of a physical 36" poster is strictly dependent on the resolution of the user's upload. We recommend images of at least 300 DPI.

Visual Inspection: Users must inspect their downloadable JPG before placing a print order. PixelPassport is not liable for dissatisfaction due to low-resolution uploads, poor positioning, or the inherent lack of detail in very small geographic regions (e.g., small island nations or provinces).

Returns: Custom-printed goods are final sale and non-refundable unless a manufacturing defect is present.

4. Acceptable Use & Content Removal

Illegal Content: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for illegal content. We reserve the right to delete images and/or deactivate accounts found in violation of local or international laws.

Inactivity: To manage storage costs, accounts that have not been accessed for two (2) years may be subject to data deletion. PixelPassport will provide a 30-day notice via the email address on file prior to deletion.

5. License for Use

Personal Use Only: The 3600px JPG map generated by the service is for your personal use. You may print it, share it on social media, or use it as a background.

Commercial Restriction: You are strictly prohibited from selling, licensing, or otherwise commercially exploiting the generated map or the underlying geographic SVG data.

6. Beta Status & Limited Liability

Beta Phase: PixelPassport is currently in a beta/demo development phase. The service is provided "as is."

Liability: PixelPassport, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss of data, photos, or service interruptions during this phase. Users are encouraged to keep backups of their original photos.
